We're pretty proud of what we've built over the years. Each project tells its own story - from the initial sketches on napkins to the final walkthrough. Here's a look at some of our favorites that really showcase what happens when good design meets passionate clients.
Vancouver, BC
This one was a labor of love, honestly. The original 1960s split-level had great bones but was stuck in a time warp. Our clients wanted to keep the neighborhood charm while bringing in some serious modern functionality. We opened up the main floor, added floor-to-ceiling windows facing the backyard, and completely reimagined the flow between spaces.
"Working with Raven Quintharos was like having a friend who just happens to be ridiculously talented at design. They got what we wanted before we could even articulate it properly. Our home went from cramped and dark to this bright, open space where we actually want to spend time. Worth every penny and every bit of construction dust."

Gastown, Vancouver
Talk about a challenge we couldn't resist. This 1912 brick building in the heart of Gastown was basically falling apart, but the city heritage folks (rightfully) wouldn't let us touch the facade. So we kept every brick and window exactly as they were, then gutted the interior to create a stunning modern office space. The contrast between old and new is what makes this one special.
"We'd almost given up on this building. The structural issues seemed impossible, and navigating heritage regulations felt like a nightmare. RQ Architects didn't just solve the problems - they turned them into features. Our team loves working here now, and clients are always blown away when they visit. It's become part of our brand story."

North Vancouver, BC
This project started with a simple question: "Can we build something that feels like it's part of the mountain?" The site had insane views but also crazy steep terrain. We designed a three-level home that cascades down the slope, with each floor opening to different outdoor spaces. Used locally sourced cedar and stone to blend with the surroundings, plus added some serious engineering to make it earthquake-resistant.
"Building on a mountainside seemed like a pipe dream until we met this team. They handled everything from permits to the actual construction coordination. The result is beyond anything we imagined - it's like living in a treehouse but with all the modern comforts. Friends don't want to leave when they visit."

Yaletown, Vancouver
The owner wanted something that felt upscale but not stuffy - a place where you could grab a burger or celebrate an anniversary. We created distinct zones within the open space using lighting and materials. The back wall is reclaimed brick from the original warehouse, the bar's topped with live-edge maple, and we installed custom acoustic panels that look like art but actually tame the noise.
"They understood the restaurant business in a way most architects don't. Every detail was thought through - from kitchen workflow to the exact height of the bar stools. We've been packed since opening night."
- Michael P., Owner
